Best seen on a nice sunny day, this great free outdoor area has everything you need to enjoy a trip away from the busy cities and towns. Plenty of free parking, as well as toilets and walking tracks. Just a really nice spot to relax and enjoy the great views. Allow yourself a couple of hours, depending on what you... More

It is sunny outside, you want to spend a day out in the nature with good views and a relaxing time away from the noisy city, just go there. Easy access from Auckland city center by bus, from Albert street. Lots of places for parking as well. A very nice beach is there as well. Once there, just walk around,... More

The drive to Shakespear Park was a little uninspiring as the Whangaparaoa area has so much housing. However, once we left this behind, the park peninsula itself was rather lovely. We spent most of our time walking through the shady woodland trail (protected area - no dogs and boot cleaning required) which took us to a modest waterfall. We continued... More

It will be a wonderful one-day visit at Shakespear Park when the weather is on your side. We took the 2h return track around the beach side and the view was just stunning! Don't miss the Okoromai Bay for some cockles! Any visitor are allowed to gather cockles but there are limits of 50 per gatherer per day, PLS respect the... More

We were given a travel tip to check out the area and it was sensational. The first part of our adventure had us go through a tropical 'sanctuary' which led us to open pastures (cows and all!) The lookout view was nothing short of stunning with 360 degrees of beautiful! Wish we had more time and less blisters on our... More

Stunning views of the harbor and also nice views to the city. The walkies are nice and can be enjoyable for all ages when fit. More interesting in a sunny day, cause last time I went the fields were very muddy. Peacocks around the car parking are hilarious...

Fantastic day spent at Shakespear Park. We walked all of the paths and each one was different and offered beautiful views and variety. The beaches were also lovely and peaceful to relax on too.

Everyone really enjoyed the peaceful and shady bush walk knowing that there are no dogs running around unleashed like other parks. Only recommendation would be better signage at the second shoe cleaning point as we didn't know where it would lead to from there.
