I have been there with my family to research and observe the different types of plants. That was pretty fun. The waterfall in that area makes our trip amazing. Very cool place and naturally beautiful.

It was a really great experience for me and I would recommend it for you. When we were there we were able to see whio and some trout. We were able see how a state trap works so there would be more whio to live....More

We have had a record year for relocating whio (Blue Duck) back into the wild, unfortunately they are now away getting ready for another great season starting Summer 2017.

Our school education program teaches our kids from across NZ and overseas, all about freshwater ecology and what better place to do this than on the Mighty Tongariro River.

Good on memorabilia but I as a trout fisherwoman would have liked more details on trout habitats and what makes them great and what can spoil them. More incentive to look after the wonderful habitats would be good!
