This is a great priory. Looking over from South Shields to this priory looks absolutely amazing. Well worth a visit.

Best seen as it gets light in the early morning and when the sun rises. Silhouetted against the lightening sky it's spectacular. With the fiery rising sun in the background it's even more beautiful. Plenty of photographers out to catch the scene.

A great site with so much over the centuries. The boards are very informative and you should not miss the stained glass in the chapel and the 20th century gun emplacements

The history of Tynemouth (and the region) cannot ve understood without visiting this place. It hold a strategic position that has been under the influence of the local power.

Well worth a visit stunning views and lots of history. Good details on display boards and great for photographs. Nice little shop as well.

Yes, you can go up to where the entry is and get some fabulous photos, also, where the parking areas are allow for some great shots!
