Playa Guiones is one of our favorite beaches in the Nosara area to take our kids. The water is warm and there are multiple surf schools in the area. There are plenty of people without feeling too crowded.

DON'Ts: Go to the beach right at the end of the road closest to Nosara. It's crowded and tends to be kind of trashy. If you are a surfer you may want to check it out it does seem to be popular with surfers DO:...More

Fine for surfing - really fine - and as the locals said: great waves 365 days a year. As a relax beach it's not that good... so act accordingly

This area is a surfer's dream. The wide beaches of brown sand are clean. This is a perfect place for the family, singles and couples.

We loved going to Nosara. There are several entrances to the beach. The "main road" entrance will be the most crowded. Nosara is excellent for surfing all year long as the waves are always great. The kids did a surf school and loved it. Highly...More

Playa Guiones is a very long beach..... Probably 3 or more miles from end to end. However, this is a great beach for families with young children who want to play in the gentle waves at the shoreline and older children that may want to...More

I haven't needed to use one but there are plenty of ATV rental places where I believe it's about 50 dollars a day. You could try and buy one but they do get stolen a lot from talking to ex pats who live here and it might be... More

Around in what sense! They rent bikes with beach tires so that you can ride them right on the beach
