For a vitalizing, life-opening experience of yoga teacher training that deepens your personal and professional yoga practice, few locations on the planet equal Nosara Yoga Institute(R) on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica. Directed by Amba and Don Stapleton, PhD, Nosara Yoga Institute offers 200-, 300- and 500-hour yoga teacher training programs approved by the Yoga Alliance. We are also a registered Children's Yoga School and a Charter Member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists.

In addition, daily yoga classes are open to the public for a modest fee.

All programs are held on our landmark campus, in open air pavilions amid breathtaking jungle scenery that provides a serene environment ideal for deepening your yoga practice.

Beautiful accommodations just adjacent to the Institute are available at the Bodhi Tree Yoga Resort. We highly recommend our students to stay here.

Both the town of Nosara and the gorgeous beaches of the Pacific Ocean are within walking distance, adding to the experience that is Nosara Yoga.

I stayed in Nosara for 6 days while attending classes at the Nosara Spanish Language Institute. On three of those days, I hiked up to this studio in the afternoon. What a beautiful, peaceful place. There is nothing like practicing yoga at the top of the jungle! The teachers were excellent and very accommodating of my physical restrictions. Highly recommend!

Spent in a week in Nosara and took advantage of the community yoga classes in a beautiful open air pagoda. The instructors were fantastic and the view, oh the view! Peaceful, centering and beautiful.

It's a little bit of a hike to reach the Treetop Yoga Studio, where I registered for the Restorative Yoga class (taught by Zac). Once you're there though, it's a lovely experience, even at midday, when the heat is at its peak. The studio is small enough that the instructors can give individual attention and feedback, even adjusting as necessary.... More

So cool to do yoga in an open air building! We came late to class since we didn't know how long it would take to walk there. Shelley was so kind to welcome us to class even if we were late. Thank you! My friend had never done yoga before. She loved it! Would love to go back and do... More

I went to the Nosara Yoga Institute because I purchased a package while staying across the road at the Bodhi Tree Yoga Resort. I could not have picked a more inspiring place to practice yoga with some of the best! To be in the treetops, listening to the animals of the jungle and experiencing the sweet smells of the ocean... A beautiful and relaxing place - I only visited to do yoga. The place is gorgeous, my instructor was great, and I sat by the pool and had a smoothie and enjoyed the view after.

We dropped in for a class that was open to the public (not all are) and were very impressed. Luxurious is an understated way, quiet & peaceful, the class was held in an open air pavilion that seemed to float in the trees! Appropriately challenging class-$15/pp was reasonable. Wish I could have tried the Pilates!!

Had the pleasure of attending 2 classes during my stay in Nosara. 1 relaxing and 1 intermediate vinyasa. Both classes and teachers were great. Left feeling satisfied and Zen. The jungle location is beautiful and the studio itself very nice and clean (considering jungle location). The traffic noises did not bother me since the classes themselves were engaging and the... On my weeklong trip, I went to two yoga sessions, both small class – under 10 people in this open air studio surrounded by jungle and overlooking the ocean. World class instructors, beautiful and relaxing experience.
