Here at La Cantina del Vino Barga in sunny Tuscany you will find your hosts Francesca, Pietro and Edoardo ready to introduce you to their wide range of fine wines and local products that are enjoyed by international visitors and local citizens alike. Both Francesca and Pietro are fully qualified sommeliers so you are guaranteed the best possible professional service. As you browse the site you will be able to view carefully selected naturally produced wines, many of which are from small independent vineyards and at prices far lower than you sometimes pay for many inferior wines. Beautiful spot with great staff. We didn’t know that wine tastings begin in the late afternoon but someone showed us the store and let us try red and white wine, which were great! We ended up buying a few bottles to bring back and she gave us great lunch suggestions. Definitely recommend this spot!

We loved everything about La Cantina del Vino! It is in a magical setting and the owner/host Francesca,, and her co host, Vanda, made everything special. We drank wonderful wines, ate delicious food, and enjoyed our experience so much that we will be returning every time we come to Barga. It is such an affordable treat in a gorgeous place. Grazie Mille, Francesca! See you in December for the young wine! ❤️🍾

After 2 failed attempts thanks to Covid, eventually had a wedding celebration here hosted by Francesca and Co. Wonderful day, great value for money, excellent outdoor venue and caring helpful staff. Would recommend this to anyone and any age contemplating a wedding venue or simply a celebration. Meal was very good, wine as expected excellent and very reasonable price. Finished the night with BBQ and Fireworks. It would be difficult to find a comparable venue!!

Amazing wine tasting evening with an excellent host!!
We booked onto wine tasting in June, Francesca was a brilliant host, we had big portions of wine and lovely appetisers to pair with each wine, the process of booking the wine tasting session was very easy.
We enjoyed the evening and the wine so much we even bought some wine to be shipped home, this was a great price, was well packaged and arrived very quickly.
Would 100% recommend and look forward to visiting again in the future!

Tucked away in the valley below the beautiful town of Barga is La Cantina del Vino.
Cantina owner Francesca created a fantastical evening of wine, food and music.
Delicious wine flowed all evening. Savory small plates of tasty foods continuously appeared. Musicians charged us with lovely romantic songs that engaged the heart. The evening brought strangers together and made then friends. I will always remember our magical evening at La Cantina del Vino. You cannot find a better experience anywhere else in the world. If you find yourself anywhere in the Garfagnana Valley get to Barga and find La Cantina. You will be pleased beyond measure. .

Weather was perfect, Barga is a beautiful little town to explore and eat (cheap and the food tastes great) and the camping park has everything you need plus amazing wine. Just pleeeeaaaaas make the water in the shower warm in the morning I was freezing my a** off. ;)

Wonderful experience at the cantina del vino in Barga - well worth the 10 mins walk from the town of Barga- very generous host Francesca- lots of food - hams cheese rice etc and at least 7 different wines- not just tastes-as much as you would like- this was finished off with biscotti and amazing sweet wine- only cost 18e per person- would suffice as lunch in amazing setting and opportunity to share your table with others who are also wine tasting
This is also a camping site and as we are camper van owners we had a look around the camping site which was very nice.
We travelled by bus from Lucca- morning bus leaves Luca at 9.10 am and returns at 2pm and 5 pm- costs approximately 5e each way
When in Barga have coffee in Bar Alpina- nicest And cheapest lattes in the region
This is also a camping site and as we are camper van owners we had a look around the camping site which was very nice.

My young nephew and his friend have never been to italy before and wanted to try an authentic wine tasting experience. I was recommended Cantina Del Vino and they were not disappointed. We had a fabulous evening. The wine was lovely as was the food served. The whole experience, from the weather, surroundings, and friendly staff added up to a perfect end to their short stay. I would highly recommend it.

tasting every day from 15.00 till 18.00. We appreciate at least
24 hour beforehand to book you in.

Hi! My husband and I are staying in Barga for 5 nights starting Oct. 21st, we would love to do a wine tour and lunch - do you serve lunch? Do we need to book in advance and are there taxis in Barga?? Thank you.

Hello again, we look forwrd to seeing you both for our wine-tasting. We are a 5 mins. walk from Barga town centre. Depends where you staying you may arrive on foot and we can bring you back to centre. Unfortunately we have stopped doing lunches (low season for us). We can do wine tasting 10.30-12.30 or 15.30-17.30 whichever suits you best. If it's not too much trouble for you - could you let us know your choice a day before if possible.
