No great tourist highlights here, just a vast forest with tracks and paths. Enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of a temperate rain forest and help conservation too.

Out of the way place, very remote, beautiful scenery, mixture of sealed and unsealed roads, take advantage of lookout points.

A beautiful part of New Zealand not a lot of places to stop on the road need to be alert while driving these roads. Well worth the effort if you miss something on the way in stop on the way out.

Different type of walks. Kauri trees are a must see. Stop at the DOC center which is also a nice spot for picnic.
