The termal water is really warm, the smell of a fresh green mountains and water with the breeze , because if the humidity is healing. Close to a active volcano the water comes from the mountain and is heated by the warm of the volcano activity, you can perceive the minerals presence in the water during the bath. The place is clean, well organized and offers a great service for all type of tourist.

Road scholar changed from the hotel we were supposed to be at to this place with dirty rooms. There were 19 of us. Most of us changed rooms in search of one without mold and mushrooms growing on the walls. Our room had dirty sheets and food on the floor. I used my Lysol wipes to clean the shower. All rooms had exposed, capped off pipes. Those in the seemingly cute cottages only had hot water at certain times. All of our rooms looked like someone had removed items and never replaced them: a place for your luggage , any informations about the hotel like prices of in room water. This alone would have not a big deal. Our first room had no safe. The safe in the second room was locked . It took 24 hours to get it open. This was very important to us since we had been robbed in Bogota. A woman in our group had to wait overnight to have her door lock working properly. The property is attractive. Our experience was awful. If you want to use the hot springs, you can come here on a day pass. We are stuck here for one more night.

Well-kept swimming pools, lockers, and restaurant. I enjoyed taking photos, nice scenery, and excellent for the money invested.

After a long day visiting coffee plantations we went to the Termales Otono for a bit of serious relaxing, expecting a wide variety of spa facilities.
There is basically one swimming pool with a small side-pool, and the water is comfortably hot. There is another smaller, quite shallow pool, next to the large pool, and that's basically it.
It is still good fun and really relaxing, but please manage your expectations.
When leaving, ask the security guy at the entrance/exit whether he can call you a cab.

Bedding was dirty/ stained.
Massages were amateur.
Thermal pools were mediocre at best. Like being at a hot tub in a bad apartment complex.
Got food poisoning and staff was not only not helpful but confrontational (Only ate there while staying, where else would it come from?)
All around bad experience and the cost is high.
bad wifi
We stayed at two other smaller spots nearby and both were infinitely better overall. Better off at a smaller local run spot and just hike to a hot spring.

The hot springs are open from the afternoon and an evening visit is very popular.
There is a restaurant with bar service and cabins to rent for overnight stays.
You are advised not to spend long periods in the hot, salty water from the local volcano.
It is 9 kms out from Manizales centre and there are buses until the evening.
