We stopped in Carrbridge for a comfort break. (I was with a small group tour.). It gave us the opportunity to stretch our legs. The bridge is really lovely. Great photo op of Scotland. We even got to witness a policeman talking sternly with three teenage boys. I am sure they were most likely climbing on it. The village is fun to walk through as well as they host an annual Chainsaw Art competition, so there are lots of chainsawed figures in peoples’ yards. Nice little place to stop as you make your way in the Scottish Highlands.

We stopped to visit the Old Pack Horse Bridge whilst holidaying in Aviemore, so glad we did!!! The views were amazing (the pictures don’t do it justice) we explored the viewing platforms and then took a walk along the footpath at the side of bridge (garage side). The walk was just a beautiful and there were several points along the walk that you could go down to the water.

You can't actually use the 300 year old bridge but do read its history. A piper plays on the bridge Saturday teatime at 5.45pm,
We noticed children playing and swimming in the river underneath on one evening. Pity about the eyesore garage next to it with dumped, broken down vehicles,.

Very scenic indeed. Day one and it was stream but after a night's worth of rain it was a stormy river and made for some great photos. We were also treated to 'Spud' the Scotsman playing the bagpipes on top of the bridge. We stayed opposite the bridge and I went to view it every day.

A lovely feature of Carrbridge that gave the village it’s name. The highlight for me was whenever the piper stood on the bridge one early evening in full Scottish kilt etc and played the bagpipes for us

This walk is perfect for children. There is free parking at the park a few meters up the road. The walk takes you past the beautiful bridge and along the water. On the other side are woodland animals carved into trees. Would recommend.

Stopped here and even managed to get my photo taken whilst I stood on the bridge. Watched kids jumping off it into the water below - very brave! Small craft shop next to it is also worth a visit.

Easy to access close to the village centre with great views and lucky enough to see it with a piper with the autumn colours in full flow.
