We visited this windmill by the end of the day and the mill was already closed but the windmill wings was still rotating. Well, we will be back next time. It is located next to the water and there're some benches and a picnic bench to sit.

Not far from the city center, max 10 minutes walk you can come across this still working flour wind mill on the bank of the Vecht river, Weesp. Still in operation, in some hours during the day, not operational hours could be found anywhere posted. I could see it working even late in the afternoon at around 7 PM during the week day. Their web pages say “Every Saturday free entrance from 10 AM to 4 PM”.

Lovely trip on a bike ( hired from Weesp station) nice to see a working windmill. I think it's only open Saturday. You will have to check.
It's only a quick visit though ... Then cycle on .

Had the luxury of a car on this visit to Holland, so decided to stay just outside Amsterdam and have a break from the hustle and bustle of the city. This is a lovely area, and the canal and windmills provide an excellent break and photo opportunity. Best photos can be taken from the opposite side of the canal, which is a fair walk, but only a very short drive.

This working windmill is easily accessible from downtown . It has been nicely renovated and it is in mint condition ! Unfortunately , it was a Wednesday and it was not open to the public ; I think it is only accessible on Saturdays . It gave me an opportunity to see how proud and meticulous the inhabitants are about their landscaping !

Original working Dutch grain milling windmill that you can visit when you are in Weesp. This mill is located on the River Vecht and you can enjoy the view where many boats sail in summer. You can also admire this mill from the water with a unique Weesp house as a cruise boat.

A nice walk from the center of town, to experience and see a piece of history, very clean in the surrounding area.

Anytime we have visitors we take them here. Really cool working windmill. They have a little shop that's open on Saturdays and sells wholesale grains & baking ingredients.

A great Dutch treat to visit. Weesp is a gorgeous little town, one of the very first in the Netherlands, and this windmill is an absolute must. On saturdays, you can go inside and climb up the stairs to see it's inside and learn how it works. Afterwards you can buy products made in the mill.

Very interesting operational windmill with all the old equipment in place. You can buy various flours that the mill makes at the shop on the ground floor.
The city employs a professional miller to operate the mill. However, he comes *only on Saturdays*, so that is the only day it is open! However, you can buy bread made from the mill's flour at Brood- En Banketbakkerij Abbekerk on the Slijkstraat.
