The locak area has some unique history, and this museum shows and tells it all, from the early peat diggings to the lateramazing role this modest town played in the seafaring history. Some completely furnished shops and a pub lend a bit of nostalgia. Well...More

The whole area is famous for delving peat 200 years ago. This museum shows this history and shows items used for the delving. A nice small museum and if you're interested, nice to go to.

The peat history is only a small part of the storey we are telling. Most is about Baltic sailing, agriculture and industry.
