Took about 30 mins to get to top but well worth it. Can be a bit windy but the views are spectacular. Really nice walk all the way round and would recommend to anyone. We had driven past it for years and then decided to...More

Strong shoes and a bottle of water are a must for the walk up to the top of Montana Roja. There are loose stones in some places and the way is clearly marked to the top. We went early in the morning before it got...More

Wonderful panoramic views and not too far to walk. We walked from the Elba hotel with 2 young children. The caldera is quite surreal with patches of seemingly more recent activity along with an odd collection of sea-shells. Definitely worth a few hours of your...More

It is a fairly easy walk but good walking shoes are needed as the path is rocky and uneven in places. It is also very dusty - you will have red legs at the end of the walk! It is well worth the effort and...More

A short but steep walk to the top with amazing views. Saw people of all ages making the climb even children. We hired cycles in playa Blanc's it's a smooth 20min cycle, the roads were quiet and safe. If you continue up the main road...More

Ran up this volcano twice while staying in Playa Blanca; just the right distance with a circuit of the crater included. Exhilarating and a great viewpoint over Playa Blanca and towards Fuerteventura.

If in Playa Blanca at any time, the climb up to the crater of the volcano is well worth the effort. The views all around are stunning. The climb and descent are not particularly steep, but a little care is needed on parts of the...More

Hello. Yes that is the right location. It's a lovely walk. Fairly steep to start but well worth it. Views from the top are breathtaking. We took a picnic. From there the sunsets are amazing too. Hope you enjoyed it.
