This museum has a lot of hostorical pieces starting with the ancient People who lived în Dacia more than 2000 years before. Even the building is a historical palace from 17.th century located in a old park near the Deva old Citadel.

The dacic treasure, the natural sciences section, the arhitecture area and the interactive games make the place intresting.

... but although rich in it's deposits, the museum is not able to show many exponats at once, so they have to permanently move them arround and there are allways new exhibitions.

Our problem was that we don't believe in the whole Dacian story. There is no real historic proof of them, and there is no proof at all, that they has got anything common with Roumania. The Bethlen Manor House is nicely renovated.

We had a guided tour in english, the guide did an excellent job, it was good to hear the story behind each section in the museum. It was worth the visit, and is not expensive!
