The owner, Edin, was incredibly helpful on the get go. We called first thing in the morning to enquire if it was possible to pop by for a tour of his family's olive tree farm, and he was incredibly accommodating. He greeted us at the shopfront and shared a small tasting of the olive oil produced from their olive trees. The business of olive oil production, and the planting of olive trees, spans generations in his family, and he was happy to share much of the rich history involved.

Edin drove us a short distance away to the olive tree plantation. On this front, I'm not sure if a bigger tour group can be arranged, as there was only 2 of us so he was able to take us in his car. Wee went before the olives were fully bloomed (not too sure if this is the right term), we only could catch them at their seedling stage, but Edin shared photos of the production process with us.

Truly informative, and Edin will also share some history of Ulcinj with you!

Beautiful olive trees in a lovely place, it was a perfect moment! We get a lot of information by the passionate head of the family-owned company. The story of the olive trees was fascinating but it was nothing compared with the big feast prepared for us !
I warmly recommend the visit ! Be prepared to make a big huge to the +-1300 years old olive tree ;)

Practical information : we were 65 people but it was not a problem, good english and possibility to buy the best olive oil and soaps ever.

This ancient olive orchard has been owned by the same family for 600 years. The owner was kind enough to give us a tour which was incredibly interesting. He was a fascinating guy with a strong commitment to quality, health foods & maintaining the integrity of his property which overlooks the sea. It's absolutely beautiful & peaceful. This visit is one of my favorite days in the Balkans. We learned so much all while my son sat in a 1200 year old olive tree. #roadschool The oil is amazing & available for sale as well as hand made soaps by his mother, who has beautiful skin! His handsome 70 year old father works the orchard every day and barely looks 50. Wonderful people & a wonderful business. Contact them via email on their website or buzukuolive@gmail.com for more info.

Edin gave us a remarkable tour, telling us the history of the olive trees, his family, and this area. If you're looking for a special experience to mark your visit to Montenegro, you've found it. Incredible olive oil, too, of course!

We were staying at Edin's campsite when other people came to visit the old olive tree. Edin immediately invited us to join him and the other guests for a small tour - which was really very interesting. If you'd like to know more about the olive trees in the region, the history and the process of making olive oil you should definitely visit this place (and then: also stay at the amazingly beautiful campsite!)

For a unique experience you should defenitely visit this place. Not only the old olive tree is very interesting to see, but also the extensive personal tour of the olive yard is very worth a visit. You will learn all about the olive trees and how their olives are harvested and then processed into olive oil. At arrival we have been warmly welcomed by the family who is already doing this work for ages and learned about their history and about the history of the olive trees. Thank you family Buzuku for giving us a very special and nice day!
