This baroque church was also built after the earthquake in 1693. It has a beautiful and harmonious concave facade.
Due to the lack of time, we just stepped in to see the interior and to take a picture of it, we could not climb upstairs to the terrace...

As with most of the Baroque churches in Val di Noto, San Carlo is a bit understated inside, but still with many interesting details. The killer feature here is access to the tower, for amazing views over the central Noto.

The pale yellow and white interior is a nice change from some of the very ornate Baroque churches we saw in other parts of Sicily.

The interior of the church is all white, with beautiful painting on the ceiling and a beautiful altar.

This is one of the most beautiful churches in Noto, and you can also go to the top and enjoy the view (ticket).

There are so many Churches in Notto, the Golden city.
This one is one of the more beautiful churches, especially inside.
You should also climb the Campanile to its top which adds to the experience (it is not expensive, just be careful with the narrow stairs).
It is quite easy to get to this Church as you'll certainly walk Notto's main avenue, Corso Vittorio Emanuele III.
It is located just 100 meters from the Cathedral, the main landmark in Notto and 20 meters form Caffe Sicila, the best and most famous eatery in Notto (don't even think not stopping there, it would be a massive Fomo).
So don't miss it and after climbing to the Campanile, have a cold drink or a Granita at Caffe Sicilia.

This looked a very lovely church inside, though we visited it mainly for the terrace.Lonely PLanet suggests to avoid it if you have vertigo (I have that at times) but the steps are very well protected(a spiral stone staircase, well blocked in) and there is no sense of exposure on the terraces either. A great place to enjoy the views away from the crowds and noise below.

We paid the 2 euros per person to walk up the narrow staircase to the bell tower and were not disappointed! The views from both viewing platforms (one mid way up the staircase and the other up the top by the bells) were beautiful. You could see and appreciate the Noto baroque architecture. We only had to wait a couple of minutes to let other visitors come down to avoid crowding on the staircase or at the top. We would highly recommend if you're visiting Noto.

Very nice tower in Noto with a lovely view. Almost 90 very narrow stairs up there. Easy to find and close to Cathedral.

A climb to the top of the bell tower rewards you with some of the finest views over Noto and its beautiful Baroque buildings.
