- Vivek KBengaluru, India97 contributionsHappiness Comes in Waves!By far, the best beach in Gokarna - Location wise, ease of accessibility, food options, people and just general vibes - everything is excellent here. My only regret was I couldnt stay on this beach overnight as my resort was a km away but you get loads of shacks which has basic and clean rooms. Lot of foreigners frequent this beach which gives you a feeling that you are out of India. Everyone are very friendly and always carry a smile on their face. The sunsets are beautiful and you can easily spend days together just lazing around the beach. Must visit for 2-3 days.Visited December 2019Written 23 January 2020
- Ankur C11 contributionsChill, relaxOn a lookout for less crowded getaway to chill, try Kudle. Lined up with quite a few shacks, Kudle beach has great crowd mostly except for 31st when it was all crowded & thereby dirty. Perfect for a morning run and swim. And best at Sunset or early morning with bit hazy fog during winters. Overall I'd love to visit it again and spend some quality time and meet wonderful people from a across the globe.Visited December 2019Travelled with friendsWritten 4 January 2020
- Sharad5 contributionsChilling & PhotographyLess crowded, peaceful and calm. Extends from a low lying bed to little heighted rocky structure making a good spot for candid photography. Perfect for Couples. Suitable for exercising and Yoga. Many beach-side shacks and resorts available for enjoying sunset over hot snacks or cold beverages.Visited March 2019Written 15 January 2020

The beach is amazing and I stayed at Namaste Yoga Farm and did yoga two times a day. Wonderful experience and so refreshing to spend relaxing time in Kundla.
The only problem that I found in the beach is the watersports which kills the beach spirit and the spirit of the land. In that respect the Gokarna main beach is in a better position. New commercial establishments are coming which will also cater to mass tourism and drove the foreign travellers away from this place.

Visited it again after 3 or 4 years. It is my favorite beach in Gokarna. Unlike the Gokarna Main Beach and the Om Beach this beach did not have too much crowd. Also the water appeared a lot calmer here and we can swim peacefully amongst the gentle waves. The water sports options here were limited but we were happy to see kayaking options here. Also there were enough shacks in this beach but the food and liquor prices were on the higher side. At night the beach turned into a party hub for groups. People even arranged for bonfire and danced around which looked fun. I have a feeling that Gokarna is best travelled with a group and Kudle Beach seems to be the best to spend an evening.

We went here after staying couple of days in Goa. The beach is secluded however it is not maintained at all. There is filth everywhere (Right from Access Road to the Beach itself). Very disappointing experience.

Food: Expensive and average
Beaches: Little dirty (Not as dirty as Gokarna Main Beach), restricted and crowded
People: Unfriendly, unless you splurge
Stay: Expensive and average
Revisit: Definitely not if you are a solo traveller
Recommendation: Good spot for family trips (1-2 days on a weekend) Solo travelers please avoid! Overall avoid Gokarna as a whole. Not worth it.
However if you have ended up at Gokarna before reading this then follow the below measures:
1) Rent a scooter: I did a lot of hiking and walking around. With the weather it's not advisable for all. Especially since the routes are hilly. Rent a scooter and negotiate it down to 400-500 rupees per day.
2) Pack some healthy snacks or food: I always pack my breakfast of oats, dairy whitener, and dry fruits whenever I am on a backpack trip. This saves you a one time meal which otherwise you will have to shell out exorbitant amounts for.
3) Head to Paradise Beach: This is a private beach which allows camping by paying a charge. I am recommending this to those who would like a swim without any interruption from the local authorities. I am not sure you would want to camp here.
4) Carry your essentials from town: You will not find many shops around the beaches. Carry all your essentials from the town.
5) Don't expect any nightlife: There is not much nightlife except for dimly lit shacks serving food and alcohol until 12 AM. There is no clubbing culture here, so please have no expectations.

We had a short 2 day trip from Hubli and this was our Third stop after Gayathri Tapobhoomi and Sirsi. During the visit to the temple, we just went to the beach for sometime. Didn't spend much time as we had to go Murudeshwar.

This beach is located slightly away from the city and can be visited if you have your own vehicle. Autos and other public transport is not available. There is nothing special about this beach. It can be visited during Sunset as it offers a great view (unlike Om / Half-moon/ Paradise beach as these 3 beaches don’t face west). There are lot of eateries that offer reasonably good food. Water sports are available but at slightly higher cost. The beach is not very clean though, but still manageable. The best beach according to me to relax is the north part of Gokarna Main beach. A persons need to cross the bus stand and move towards north. Any entry to beach after that gives more secluded and clean part of the beach.

This is monsoon time in India and you can expect a lot of rains. And if it rains, there would be no beach left as the water comes till shore. Good time will be after Mid-August

Namaste hotel is the best option. Please don't even consider kudle international beach resort. Which by far the worst hotel one can stay at.

Is there a viewpoint from where disabled people can get a glimpse of the beach? Is it accessible by someone who can't walk much? Suggestions please

Yes. There is a restaurant white elephent from there you can get a view of kudle beach. Also when you go kudle beach to om beach by road, you will get many view point from where you can see kudle beach.
Can we rent any 2wheelers in Gokarna and near kudle beach?

May is not a good time to travel to Gokarna as it will be Hot and Humid. If you prefer to stay in the resort and chill out then it does not matter.
Will Gokarna be a good option at May summer?

Despite the summer sun, the high outcrop of the hills will keep the beach in the shadows all morning. That means Gokarna and the even better bay of Kudle beach will be in the shadows.
The morning walks and yoga routines by the beach dawn to 9 am will still be possible. As others suggest an AC room or a well ventilated room is a.must. the up market Kudle beach resort has an excellent pool. Many of the beach shacks have leafy surroundings and you will be still able to enjoy a pleasant lunch by the beach.
since when did Indian summer stop an Indian from traveling any where. enjoy.
