One of the beaches in Gokarna where you can reach only through trek or ferry. This place is indeed a paradise once you reach!! We reached there through a trek from Belekan beach. This is the first beach in the trek.
There are also camping options available if you wish to do an overnight stay in this beach. Would suggest everyone to opt for the trek way and not miss this beach!!

You need to trek a bit and climb a hill. So its better to have a basic fitness. The beach is not great for swimming

We visited this beach during the beach trek. It was the first beach as we started from Belekan Beach. The beach is very secluded and there is no way to access beach via road. It is accessible via trekking or through ferry. The beach has some night camping options as well through locals who have set up some camps. The beach is quite serene and peaceful.

This place is small and has camps and tents if you want to stay in a place like that. Connectivity is through boat or you need to trek from Om Beach

This is a beautiful beach , you can reach to this beach either by trek or ferry ride. Ferry ride are taken from kudle beach which they charge around 500 INR per head and give you a tour of paradise beach .
A must visit it's a lovely beach with less crowd.

We did night trek from Om beach to paradise beach,
it was little scary at start as you have to pass through a dense forest and we were just 3.
Then we met some more people on the way and the fun began , this was my first beach trek and that too at night was really amazing! we sat for a while at half moon beach restraurant for snacking and break sake and finally reached paradise , very calm place . Wanna go there again

After going through so many blogs and reviews about the beauty of this beach once we reached there it was absolutely underwhelming and not worth the hype.
To reach there you can take a trek from Om beach or Belekan beach. or reach by ferry.
Beach was so dirty with leftovers of bonfires strewn thrash. Most of the beach is now covered by water sports equipment, Portable toilets and hippies.
Though a tiny portion of the beach was spared wherein you can take a dip in the water and click good photos.
Now the land is apparently leased and in case anyone wants to camp on the beach there is a charge of 500 per tent to be paid.

You can start from kudle and cover the adjecent beaches. And if starting from Om beach, paradise and half moon beach can be trekked. For Transport you will find plenty options from rented bikes to autos. 3 out of the 5 beaches have restos available. So find food would not be any issue

How many days required in gokarna

We were there for 2 days and if you plan it out, that is quite sufficient for sightseeing. But if you want my opinion, I would suggest 3-4 days where you could finish the beach trek in a day; water sports and some sightseeing around another day; the rest sightseeing, a trip to nirvana, loitering around, fooding, shopping, etc. for the next 2 days.
Hello guys, we will be in Gokarna in the morning 11pm, can u guys pls suggest which are the fabulous places /beaches such as paradise beach along with proper time to visit and medium to commute to the beach, any ships available for the tour

First of all this isnt the ideal time 2 visit Gokarna as there will be hot & sultry weather or they will be rain. So beach trekking may be quite dangerous. so be prepared for that. There are 5 elusive beaches to visit in Gokarna, those are from north to south- Gokarna beach, Kuddle beach, Om beach, Half moon beach & lastly paradise beach. First 3 beaches are motorable but last two are not. U need to trek through a difficult pathway besides the sea to reach half moon beach from om beach. There are no path directions anywhere, from halfmoon u need to trek for another 30-35 minutes to reach paradise beach. This last trek is basically very cumbersome & difficult. Carry atleast 3-4 L water/head to make this trek. There are no habitations in the last 2 beaches. Now there are no boat services either.
Phytoplanktons are visible only on full
Moon night? Or we can see them one day after/before full moon night?

The truth is, you have next to impossible chances of spotting phytoplanktons on a full moon. They are generally visible only on a new moon. The reason is, a new moon night is darker than any other lunar phase, and hence there's no other light reflecting from the water body. This gives a clear view of phytoplanktons in the water.
Plus, one cannot predict the appearance of phytoplanktons either. I believe it's a matter of pure luck. When we were in Gokarna, my roommate and a couple of her friends went all the way to Nirvana beach to see phytoplanktons. Sadly, not only did they not see them there, but it also appeared near Om beach, which was way closer than Nirvana beach.
Is parking facilities are available for 2 wheelers....and is alcoholic drinks are available...

This is an isolated beach.. You have to reach this beach on foot (via trek) or by boat.. You can park your vehicle near Belkan beach and then trek down to Paradise beach.
There are no shacks here. You can perhaps buy drinks somewhere else and then bring it here (Though I wouldn't advise you to do so..as this beach is not a party place)

How can we stay @ night in paradise beach!?

Ooty (Udhagamandalam), India13 contributions
Its a small but beautiful isolated beach which would be perfect for camping and hence i think you would need to get a permission or something from the local police or someone(not sure who) and even if you get permission to camp do make sure that you camp during a full moon night as you can see the "Phytoplankton" .

Hi Shashank!
The trek from beleken beach to paradise beach is a relatively easy trek. There is a proper trail which you need to follow and it takes around 15-20 min to cover the distance. It's through a forest and if you take the trail, you won't get lost. However, the trek from paradise to half-moon beach has a lot of trails and one could easily get lost there. So I would suggest not to travel alone.
And don't miss the sunrise at the beleken beach, it is amazing!
