Ohm beach is one of the major attractions in Gokarna where you are provided with a lot of water sports activities like ferry to the secluded beaches, jet ski, banana ride etc. This beach has an ohm shape when you see from a cliff and hence the name
We reached this beach as part of our trek from Belekan beach and would recommend everyone to do a beach trek if you are in Gokarna!

A picturesque beach which attracts tourists and locals alike... the Om Beach is very pretty ... with rocks and forests adding charm and character to the beach front.
On the downside garbage disposal is pathetic... it's surprising that there is no collection and clean up from local authorities

Beach was clean and well kept. Water level is quite low and hence one can easily walk deep into water without much worries. Don't miss to take a boat ride, which takes you to 3 other beaches and light house. We also sighted couple of dolphins jumping.

It is probably the most famous beach of Gokarna. The name comes from the fact that the beach when viewed from the top, resembles like an Om symbol. We finished our Beach Trek here which we started at Belekan Beach. This beach is very well accessible via road and you can find many autos outside. There are a lot of water sports also available at the beach plus many shacks options for food. Namaste Cafe is the most popular one.

According to me, this beach has nothing great to offer other than its unique “Om” or number 3 shape. There are lot of rocks so its not very safe to swim here. The first shack on the left is a good one but has lot of crowd. So if you plan to eat here, be prepared to spend lot of time waiting. But, at the same time, the other shacks on the beach are not that great too.
From this beach, you get boats that take you for a ride to Halfmoon and paradise beach. These boats will show you the beaches but wont allow you to get down. You can also trek to these 2 beaches from here. As another option, you can also trek to these 2 beaches and return from Paradise beach by boat. But the charges paid for 2 way and 1 way are the same.

Senior citizens and those with knee pain cannot venture to go thirty-forty steps down to reach the beach and then climb the same back. A new approach road which leads directly to the beach has to be found.

No i had gone there 15 days back. Nothing of that sort is happening right now. There is only a plan to construct. Nothing on ground .
Has anyone seen dolphins here in the recent past?

Hello Friend, I am from Bangalore and visited Kudle and Om a few years ago. I am planning a trip this weekend. Are the shacks/Cafe open, I know you mentioned Namaste is open. I am with my friends and wanted to know if its a good time togo given monsoons.
Would love to hear from you.

Hi, as per my opinion this is not a good time to visit there. Because of the heavy rain which is continually falling. Better plan in October.
Is any shack open in Om beach in June end?

We visited this place during summer and monsoon, but haven't witnessed any snorkeling around. This is a rocky sand beach, you can check our clips at CoupleOnWheelz YT channel.

Is the beach easily accessible or requires trekking/boats etc? Can people who can't walk much access the beach? Is there a viewpoint visible from the vehicle?

It requires trekking to reach this beach - not long from your parked vehicle - say about 10minutes. One can view this beach from the top of the hill where there is a restaurant.
Is snorkeling and parasailing at on beach gokarna open in September?
