The first of many lakes we saw in NZ. Even with the cloudy weather, it was still stunning to look at. Great place to stopover and stretch your legs as well.

Lake Tekapo is a stunning place to visit. We stayed here for one night on our road trip and would definitely recommend you visit here. The scenery is magnificent and we even had snow!

The observatory on Mt John is great but can be closed due to high winds; pick your day well.
