Love this market!

So much to see and lovely craft and local wares for purchase. You can also buy some delicious food, a drink, and sit and watch the crowds mingling through the stands.

Honestly, the Thursday market is a must attend event in La Penita. There is something there for everyone: fruit, veggies, clothing, desserts, household goods, artwork, electronics and even bootleg DVD's. On a lot of items there are no prices, so be prepared to haggle with the vendor. Make sure that you brush up on your Spanish as there are a... More

There is something for everyone, from delicious home made cakes, breads, cut veggies or fruits, pills, CD's, second hand clothes, tools, kitchen wear to intricate, one of a kind jewelry, beautiful embroidery, hand blown glass wear, woven carpets, bedspreads and items too numerous to mention. Places to buy fresh grown coffee, stop for a iced coconut drink, or sit and... More

Anyone visiting the Jaltemba Bay Area must take in the Thursday market at La Penta. Bread, dulce, coffee, nuts, silver jewelry, clothing, wooden wares, electronics, blankets and table wares, flowers - you name it, they have it. Artisans, and junk sellers - you can practice your bargaining power with gusto. I love the sounds the sights and the colours. Get... More

The Thursday Tianguis in La Penita de Jaltemba is an experience for all the senses. Everything from fresh produce and food to crafts, clothing and furniture is to be had at much more reasonable prices than in Puerto Vallarta to the South.

A huge part of your day spent in La Penita..t Right now they are redoing the square..so the... More

The market moves from town to town, and comes to us every Thursday, bringing farm fresh fruits and veggies, breads and pastries, roasted nut candies, taco stands, coconut juice vendors, a roving honey guy. Lots of crafts - weaving from awesome to awful, jewelry and toys and carvings from brilliant to tasteless, with vendors from shy to shrill. Crowds come... More

Even if you do not need to buy one single thing, come out on Thursday morning and visit the La Penita Market. The wonderful thing about this market is that if you want to buy memories to take home, there are plent of vendors selling blankets and tablecloths, pottery and silver, coffee and knickknacks! Then wander the road through "Tupperware Alley"...where you...
