Our group took the ferry from San Jacinto to Guilligan's Island, about a ten-minite boat ride. The island is well-preserved and clean. There are picnic shelters, trashcans, pit-style toilets and little clearing to relax on the beach amongst the mangrove roots or enter the water....More

Expectations were tempered given the havoc wrought by hurricane Maria and not unsurprisingly the island and ferry were pretty quiet even on a Sunday. This is an idyllic location, ruined by people who didn't seem to want to take their rubbish home, blasted music from...More

Loved the canals, great to swim in clear water. Good place to spend then day, when is not too crowded, since crows could be "wild" (loud music, drunken people) and sometime you will find people with not the best "manners". An advice: go during the...More

Im not sure if you can rent a boat to sail by your own, but there near the ferry is people with their own boats that will take you there for like $10 round trip. Don't know about the legal part.
