There are 3 million years ago, the Isthmus of Panama was closing and separating the Atlantic Ocean Pacific. Species of these two oceans have evolved separately and fauna present in the Caribbean Sea is different from the Indo-Pacific. With nearly 70 species of coral, 1200 mollusc and 600 fish recorded in coastal waters, the Caribbean region is, in terms of fauna, the area's richest and most diverse of the Atlantic. The Aquarium of Guadeloupe, which opened in 1987, devotes all of its exposure to these underwater riches. We welcome you

The Aquarium itself , although quite small , is very well structured with a lot of educational information. Given the size, I would suggest you either get it as part of their snorkelling bundle ( Seatour) or in bundle with a Zoo Pass who are...More

It appeared that many of the fish were suffering from poor water quality as a white film was seen on the eyes of many fish, so this obviously concerned us. The limited amount of space as enrichment opportunities for the intelligent octopus was also a...More

My husband and I enjoyed our trip to the aquarium. As stated in previous reviews, it is small, but the offerings were very interesting. Star fish, jelly fish, various types of coral, hermit crabs, lobsters, sea cucumbers, sea horses, sharks... We saw a lot of...More

Has some nice displays but the over all place is rather small, went through it in about 15 minutes, price is fair.

Just an average collection of fish and sea life. Nothing spectacular. Only take about ten minutes to walk through the entire exhibit.

Small aquarium, nice to see the marinelife, but I really suggest you get out the scuba-gear and look for the fish yourself. Why not? you're in Guadeloupe!!

We had a great time in Aquarium de la Guadeloupe last week. It's not a huge aquarium, I wouldn't compare it to the one in Baltimore, but it has a great variety of local sea inhabitants in very well arranged settings. It is clean, well...More
