As a frequent visitor to Bridgnorth, I often use this quaint and period method of commuting between high and low town. Always a most pleasurable experience.

In the summer when Bridgnorth gets busy, park in low town and get the fenicular to high town. Enjoy the views as you go up and down!

A quick trip up and down the railway is a nice way to get to where you want easily. The price isn't too bad either!

Well this is one of those things that should be experienced at least once - however don't expect a long ride. The walk from Low to High town is quite steep and this is a bargain at £1.60 return.

We visited yesterday with two young toddlers. The railway is immaculately kept and is just like being back in time. The views are spectacular and the staff super friendly. Especially helpful with the pushchair! Thanks.

Had a lovely afternoon in Bridgnorth and the cliff railway was the icing on the cake , useful too as a very steep walk to high town, the wonky castle is close to the top station as well

There are plenty of restaurants - chain and otherwise - in a relatively small area - you'll most likely be able to find something you like.
