Often used to drive past going to see clients so was delighted to take opportunity to visit on more leisurely drive. Visited on beautiful May Day and perfect to enjoy South Shropshire. The house has real feel of a family home and because the guides...More

To me the house was a bit disjointed and untidy. Only saved by the art on show in the galleries, and the lovely knowledgable volunteers. Better to take a walk around the lake or the gardens. No photos are allowed in the house, due to...More

Perhaps not the best time to visit before the gardens are at their best but, apart from an excellent small modern art collection, the house itself is not that interesting or engaging. The refreshments are also somewhat limited but I'm sure the grounds make up...More

Being locals and members of the NT we have visited often. Visited again Easter Sunday with our family and dog. Queues to get in were very long and unfortunately I had to join the non-member queue to pay for our non-member visitors. However, we had...More

The small modern art collection is very good, the rest of the house a bit dull and not that engaging. Perhaps it was the time of year but it all felt a little shabby and tired. We didn;t explore the grounds mu but I'm sure...More
