Very dirty. The municipality does not take care of waste disposal. Cigarette butts and plastic waste cover the sand. There is endless plastic waste in the bushes. There are no public toilets, and there is used hygiene paper behind every bush. Ugh

Wonderful landscape, quiet everyday. The municipality must urgently arrange to place garbage cans, because the beach is full of cigarettes and garbage. I tried to pick up some, but I found out I couldn't throw them anywhere. It's a shame for this charming, energetic place that would be good to treat with the respect it deserves.

Ok, if you want to take a new path for swimming, try this out. Anyone who has any joint, muscular and any other body issues will reap benefits from this majestic surrounding.
Mineral water lake is unique with its wellness properties.
It serves just as well for a day out. Be aware of the cost, visit their website.
Gets busy most days, early morning or late afternoon times are recommeneded, water temperature is sublime.

Nice semi-sandy, semi-rocky beach on one end, with a couple of restaurants next to it. Not that noisy (thank God), not that quiet (at least during summer week-ends) Really extraordinary clear waters. If you look carefully, you might spot a couple of empty spots around the lake where you can chill by yourself. The hills around add to the scenery. One of my favorite places during summer-time.

The lake of vouliagmeni has two opposite faces. The morning one with elderly people trying to look and get younger in the so called curing spring waters.
The night face is for romantic couples and younger people who want to gaze at the stars and the tranquility of the still waters.

We've been staying in the Athens just for a few days and for the last day we decided to go to the lake, and was honestly, very surprised. In a good way 🤗
From the city centre to the lake it cost just €10 for 2 pax.
Chargeable entrance to the area, but that what we and expected.
All area and facilities were clean and accommodating, lake not too busy, clear water, tinny fishes spa just fantastic. Need to stay very still if u want them to come to make a "pedicure" and some skin care "procedure"😊👌🏻
Very beautiful and peaceful place.
Truly enjoyed!

On the recommendation of the owner of the apartment we rented, we headed out to Vouliagmeni Lake for an afternoon. The lake is fed by a warm springs which means it is a little warmer than the ocean. There are changing rooms and bathrooms as well as a restaurant. If you don't want to swim, you don't have to pay. Only swimmers pay. It seems a little expensive to me, but my family enjoyed it! There are little fish in the shallow water that will nibble your toes. The spa fish. My family enjoyed this experience!

A fantastic lake caught in a sun trap plenty of safe bathing, free parking, Restaurant with good food reasonably priced for the location and best of all fro the adventurous the lake is connected to the gulf by a narrow channel and dependant on the flow of the tide the current will bring you in or give you a quick ride out, just need someone to keep an eye out for the rare occasion someone will come in with a boat.we stayed with friends living nearby and used the lake a few times.as to the restaurant well for four of us a large plate of Calamari, one of fries a large greek salad , tzsaki local sausage and beers for just around 40Euro i wasnt complaining

Buonasera. Desidero sapere se le taverne sono aperte e gli ombrelloni e lettini fruibili alla fine di settembre.

Buonasera, noi saremo in zona i primi di novembre. Ho letto che l'acqua è calda. Dovrò mettere i costumi in valigia?
Grazie

Όχι δεν υπάρχει είσοδος. Μόνο αν καθήσεις σε μαγαζί που χρεώνει τις ξαπλώστρες. Άλλα έχει πολύ χώρο και για τις δικές σας.

Can you get to Lake Vougliameni by public transport? I will be staying in Glyfada and would like to visit.

If you refer to the Lake Vouliagmeni in Attica there are public transportation ...you can check at oasa.gr/?id=ind3ex&lang=en .... but if you are talking about Lake Vouliagmeni close to Loutraki of Korinthia I think that there is no public transportation to go there
