This year we went to other resorts around Innsbruck and we found that no matter what Stubaier is the one with the best runs, and especially with the most friendly and professional staff something really hard to find in the other ski resorts where they made us feel that if we don't speak German we aren't welcome. We love Austria,... More

This is my favourite european resort. There are lots of fabulous runs for intermediate skiers. Not many black runs but thats ok. Lots of places to eat with great food choices (however a little but pricey but thats the same in most resorts) Spending a little bit more money to come to the glacier is definitely worth it though. Absolutely... More

Good service provided, from my perspective better location for family skiing than some other Austria locations.

Excellent ski location! We're heading back here for a second year, in this quintessential ski town. Excellent resort, excellent kinder care and amazing ski instructors. We were very pleased!

We caught the free (with hotel guest card) ski bus from Innsbruck and enjoyed the scenic 1 hour ride to the glacier. Took gondola to Gamsgarten and were very impressed with the amount of snow and activities there - hadn't planned to, but the family hired skis at a reasonable price, and enjoyed a few hours on the "nursery" slopes... The stubaier gletacher is the best palce for skiing. Always perfect lifts especially 3s which is going very fast like 12 minuts from valley. Great prepared slopes! And wild and grube (no 14) is like 10km in to valley slope! Also You can have Your ski and boots already in depot. I am gonig there from 10 yeats!

Not great for first time skiiers. This was our 4th attempt after 2 lessons. Still a little hairy for a bunch of newbies, the view is breathtakingly priceless. Some nice intermediate runs that get very icey from compaction by about 2pm but a very memorable day with real snow.

Lovely place to ski. Easy to get to, great parking, guaranteed snow, good variety of slopes, great facilities. Can rent all of your stuff at rhe intersport shop on the slope. If it does not fit just ski back and they will fix.

Such a great place to go early season or if you want a short break. Transfer is really easy from Innsbruck and snow is always reliable as it's so high. If you're in to park riding this is the place to be before everywhere else opens. The park is top notch for all levels from rookie to seasoned pro.
