My wife is a lover of coffee, so getting to know how it grows was very interesting for her. We just found this farm on Google Maps and drove there. They do 2 tours a day - one at 8.30 and another at 13.30. Be there a bit earlier as the tour starts in time. We got Giljermo as a... More

Loved this tour of Don Juan's coffee plantation. Guide Alex gave an interesting and informative presentation featuring all you would ever want to know about coffee and chocolate from field to table. Hospitality at its best here. Free samples of coffee and chocolate: Winning! Oxcart rides optional. Lots of rain but it didn't matter. Great way to spend an afternoon.

My boyfriend and I booked this tour for a Sunday afternoon, but our travel plans got a little interrupted. We called to reschedule, and the staff was very accommodating. We ended up doing the tour on Monday morning and we had a great time! Sergio was a very informative guide. We were actually the only ones on the tour that... More

If you like coffee highly recommended. Tour the coffee plantation and explore a fully integrated, organic, self sustaining plantation and the full life cycles of the plantation, and how it matures and grows over time. Great way to spend an afternoon. Oh, and the Coffee, GREAT.

We only had about 20 minutes to go through a tour and the staff was extremely accommodating- we walked through the coffee plants and got to see the different ways the coffee beans are prepared to be roasted and finished the tour with some taste testers!

We were picked up at our hotel and after arriving at the coffee farm, we learned a lot about the research and development of coffee growing in Monteverde. We participated in the phases of coffee production from planting seedlings, to picking the beans, to roasting, and finally tasting. It was a very hands on experience.

The Cafe Monterverde, a coffee grower, is a fantastic place to visit. I hope you are as fortunate to have Sergio as your tour guide. Sergio understands the mission, vision, and most importantly the nature of Cafe Monteverdi. He started at Cafe Monteverdi as a coffee picker and now is a college educated passionate person about sustainability. He speaks warmly... More

The person who took care of our group was excellent and gave a truck load of information in a way that it sounded very interesting. Lots of laughter. His name is Junior !!

Small plantation, good guides, informative and fun. We met the owner who was very happy to pose with us (in the rain). Not top of the too do lists, but very interesting.

So much more than coffee! My friend and I really enjoyed the tour of Cafe Monteverde's farm, sustainability programs, and of course the coffee plants. Our guide was very informative and kind. We got to harvest some coffee, put it through the mill and add it to the drying area. On this tour you get to use all of your... More
