The family that owns and runs the B&B in which we stayed highly recommended La Cuchara de La Abuela. It's located in the back of the CASEM building across the street from Stella's Bakery. Everything is made from scratch for example; the soft corn tortillas...More

We had lunch at the restaurant located in the back. The food was very good and reasonably priced. We the soup special and arzo de pollo. Both of which were very flavorful the tamarind drink was very good too.

The restaurant in the back of this Coop is home to the cheapest meals in Monteverde. They were homemade, tasty and worth eating. We fed our family of 4 a hearty lunch for under $20.

They advertise as being locally done by women, but much is commercially made. Even then not much to offer for sale.
