We were looking for a place to ski and heard of Da'Ming Mountain. So we went to check it out during CNY. Short story: don't come here during CNY and it's not a place to ski. It's more like an amusement-ski bunny hill for those who have never skied before. It was a Herculean effort to get to the mountain.... More

This 1400 metre high mountain with 34 peaks is a very impressive sight. Of all the so-called "beauty spots" in Lin'an prefecture, it is only this one which truly deserves the name. This place is a hidden gem, with beautiful mountain scenery and good walking trails. There are also skying opportunities in the winter. The only drawback is the entrance ticket - you have to pay both for entering the place, then you have to buy a ticket for transportation inside the mountain (you can't get anywhere without the special bus), and...
