Our group of 17 friends had an excellent safari experience with Halisi African Adventures.
(one day in Saadani and two days in Mikumi, with three cars and guides).
Our guides were friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. They went above and beyond to ensure we saw as much as possible (and were comfortable while doing it).
The safari itself was absolutely incredible - our safari guides knew exactly where to go to find interesting animals, and the wildlife venture so close to your car you could practically touch them (though of course you shouldn't!).
Over all Halisi African Adventures did a truly fantastic job organizing and hosting our safaris.
I would highly recommended to any safari-seeking travelers.

Saadani NP is a relatively new park with a growing animal population. It is very good for bird watching, elephants, giraffes and herbivores. And also, for the lions, but unfortunately, they escaped our sight when we visited them.

This national park has bushes not plains. We spent a few hours driving round the main parts of the park, around midday and afternoon. We might have seen more in the early morning or evening. As it was, we saw the Hartebeest which apparently are quite rare, some giraffes, zebras and wildebeest and lots of warthogs. We were told there are elephants and buffalo, and a few lions - but we didn't see any of those. On the positive side the roads were good despite the rain, you can get food at a place near the beach (albeit overpriced) and the park staff were helpful and friendly. You can pay by card - no cash.
You can enter by the main gate which you get to turning off the main road out of Bagamoyo and then drive to the main park office to get park permits and pick up a guide.
Overall near enough to Dar es Salaam to come for a weekend and cheap and easy enough that you don't feel too bad if you don't see much. There is also a river safari to do, but we didn't do that.

We had two days Safari in Saadani National park. We travel with child 9 years old. We came to Dar-Es-Salam and I wrote e-mail to Halisi African Adventures.
They answered very fast and came to our hotel at same day, and next day we went to park. Also they took us before to supermarket.
From all that I watched the price was the best. The guide was very professional and caring. We felt safe.
The car was very comfortable and food was good.
We lived in a house in the park and in the morning came the giraffes. We have seen many animals - elephants, hippos, giraffes and others.

I had wanted to visit some different National Parks on this visit and Tro Peaks/ Muddy to Dust suggested I try this place. My first view of the Indian Ocean was breathtaking. It had been raining there and I was greeted by a beautiful rainbow. The park is not very large and due to the recent rains some of the roads were impassable. That did not interfere with my enjoyment of the park. There were several large herds of giraffe and while they were curious they did not come near the vehicle as happens in some part on the Northern Circuit. The lush vegetation provided much area for the many species of birds found in this park. We were able to observe reed buck, dik dik and some larger antelopes as well. Spectacular sunsets provided a wonderful end to the day. The Saadani Tented Lodge was a comfortable and friendly place to stay. I probably could spend a week at this park and be perfectly contented.

We participated in 2 days safari in Saadani National Park organized by Halisi African Adventures and it was the absolute highlight of my visit in Tanzania and one of the best travel experiences ever!
The Tour Company is responding fast, everything is organized professionally with various options offered for every budget and schedule.
My guide and driver Frank was excellent companion and moved heaven and earth so that we see a lion during such short visit - and he succeeded!
Hundreds of animals in the park, plenty of time to take photos and accommodation on the premises of the park .
I cannot recommend Halisi African Adventures enough.
