This beach is a little further north than Las Catalina’s beach. Set deeper into the cove it is a little calmer water and the sand is whiter and softer to enter the water. Nothing on the beach for food, etc, but you can walk the beach in low tide to Las Catalina’s.

You can also hike there by taking the mountain bike trails that start on the north side of Las Catalinas Beach. Follow the signs after the wooden walkway. You will climb up a number of switch backs, probably 150 ft and then descend to the beach. The views are very good as you go up before you decend.

Amazing secluded little beach off the beaten path. You can do a short hike thru a wooded path or you can walk down from the parking lot to playa Danta and then cross the rocks to your right to find a little slice of heaven. We were one of three groups there. Found a nice shady spot amidst the trees to hang our towels. The water was crystal clear, Rocky at first when you are walking in but then Sandy. Well Worth the trek we took over the rocks! Hope this place remains unspoiled.

Visited Playa Dantita this week for a little snorkel. Some new coral and quite a few fish. I would recommend you cross rocks from Playa Danta vs. going over the hill. It’s quite a bit easier, just check the tide. Shade at the beach.

Just north of Playa Danta, this little beach is a little gem if you're looking for privacy and solitude. Accessible from Danta around the rocky outcropping during low tide or take the trail over and around the hill, Dantita is worth getting to for it's little sandy bay and the opportunity to relax in the quiet surroundings.

If you're driving and found your way to the small car park at the end of the road from Las Catalinas take the marked path for Dantita to the right. Going left gets you to Playa Danta. Make sure to say Hola! to Tio (sp?) when you park and do make sure you have some cash for him to watch your vehicle while you enjoy the beach. He's easily recognizable with his cowboy hat, motorcycle and sometimes a machete on his belt along with his big smile!

If you stay at Casa Chameleon, this is the closest. It was nice and peaceful. Access via Dante Beach by foot.

True tropical paradise. Crystalline waters, abundant sun cover in the rainy season and a small beautiful set up make it a wonderful spot for a relaxing beach day.

Note that you can only access it through the rocks from Danta during low tide or by a short 900 meter hike through the hill. Make sure you are wearing proper shoes. Sandals may be tricky if wet. It is a medium intensity trail and if you are carrying more than a backpack, you will probably need a breather or two.

Snorkeling is a fun option but don’t expect much surfing.

Very much worth the walk.

We spent a good 1/2 day here. We hiked the .7km path from the parking lot and had the beach mostly to ourself. Beautiful, peaceful, no vendors. Howler monkeys in the trees along the path...check out Danta, but spend the day at Dantita. If you can muscle it, haul a cooler in and enjoy the day here.

There are a couple of ways to get there. One of which is hiking through the forest. There is a proper pathway and signage. The other is to walk across the rocks so long as tide is low. It's a local beach which is nice. I loved that the waves weren't so strong that they were pulling my swimsuit off.

This beach is just breathtaking. Truly unspoiled, remote, and pristine. Paradise. Be aware that you have to take a short hike to get there. It's not very long but it is across the hill so can be slightly challenging for some.

This is the anti-Tamarindo beach. Sheltered from the sea so no big waves. No surfing but good for swimming. A bit of a walk from the parking lot so this always means fewer people. Hike up over the top of the hill or walk around the base during low tide. No amenities.. No washrooms or concessions so pack water and snacks. Can be breezier, depending on wind direction, than Danta, its neighbouring beach . A little wind is nice because it can be smoking hot. Minimal rip tide.
