In a resort offering an array off beautiful bays, Kingsgate takes the crown. A local secret, this sandy bay is never overcrowded and offers safe bathing. It is overlooked by the majestic Broadstairs Castle and even has its own family pub, the Captain Digby which...More

Loved by the locals and tourists alike this beach gets very busy in the summer. Notions of smugglers and ne'er do-wells cross the imagination here and it is perfect for photo-opportunities.

Coming from Essex where we don't have much beach and what does exist is mostly shingle, we had a delightful stroll around here last weekend after eating at the Captain Digby. The cliffs are amazing and we found many varieties of shells and seaweed.

Took a day dash out from London to Kent for a beach-side lunch with my dog. Kingsgate was clean and dog friendly and very easy to access. I recommend taking a rubber pail for dogs to drink out of. The water wasn't very nice, but...More

Another great Kent beach discovered after walking round from Botany Bay. Dramatic Stately House on the cliff (now sadly private residents apartments) provides a great back drop to some sunbathing on another sandy beach. Took the cliff top walk back to Botany Bay.

you have to park in the captain digby £10 I think but you will have the beach without the hoards. A bit of extra seaweed at the moment but this changes
