SUPER BAD EXPERIENCE
Aug 2023
I Payed 68€ for entrance (8€ adult n 4€ child) for me and my family. While I’ve been busy with stuff, my aunt who doesn’t speak good English and Greek was told by the waiter that the sunbeds are cost 22€. An umbrella with two sunbeds cost like that. I was shock when I arrived, because I’ve always been a reguler there, and always payed 4€ or 3€ only. While I’m asking for explanation another 2 waiters came, man and woman wich is so familiar face (the man). And asked what happened, so both me and the girl explain and the guy directly agreed with me and asking “yeah why you were charged them with such highly rate?” And he ask them to return our money or charge normaly. Both woman suddenly change and became not so nice and ask us to go to another side as it is suddenly become a VIP area. We were try to move but because I have 2 yo baby and kid with me with so many stuff, I decided to stay but at the last row in the back, so we took two sunbeds and another 2 extra the blue one wich is known for a free one and the girl again come with sour face and ask me to pay 18€ for the sunbeds and I said ok for this two that you claim vip, but those blue also suddenly became vip sunbed. This is RIDICULOUS, RUDE, and very BAD experience I’ve face in my entired 15 years live in greece. Those girl, the waiter are looked at me with evel eye. We’re stay for only 3 hours ‘cause I don’t feel comfortable anymore to stay, and to be honest I wish I could ask for a refund and go home. 3 hours that cost 84€. It’s totally not worthed. (I wish took a picture of that waiter)

We arrived at 18.30. We ordered at 20.00!!! This is unacceptable! It was super hot and we were dying to have a beverage but no one would come to take our order. We paid to get in, we paid for the sunbeds, we should have had better service. I don't blame the waiters, they were doing their best, it's just that the place is understaffed. As if these were not enough, a guy passed by around 21.00, saying that they are closing up and that we had to leave! In a beach full of people, who had payed good money to be there!! Terrible!! Never going there again!!

Not going to blow you away, but to just connect with the sea and get away from the city a little, worth a quick look. Being end of February, it was warm enough and still nice and quiet.

Let'be precise, the entrance fee is high. The aim of it to provide some kind of service. Ok. If we compare with Kalamaki beach near ... Kalamaki beach is dull, full of small garbage, as well as masks, plastic, other bigger garbage were at water...Not to tell about people, who prefer to seat near each other as they were the sardines in the canned food. Also be prepared to see the sellers of some stuff, hopefully not very annoying.. Back to this high payed resort? The sun beds and umbrellas are not guaranteed while you enter and pay that expensive entrance fee. Ok, people seems nicer than outside, infrastructure is better. But it is a dissapointing experience to pay for entrance and then try to find (and not always you will find) the sunbeds, price for which varies from 8 to 25!! The thing is really about the fact that sunbeds are mostly impossible to find. And all other stuff is also for money, lockers for example.

We took a cab from Acropolis area and took 15 minutes and costs 10 Euros taxi ride.
Beach is not the cleanest one but good enough. Water is warm enough to swim on mid October.

Look, for 6€ entrance fee and 1€ for the sunbed you are expecting some more friendly service.
Yes the beach has lots of sun beds and umbrellas, changing rooms, shower, WC and bar. BUT!

For 7€ I expect a working wi-fi on the beach (other beach bars have it working in a proper way, there’s nothing of rocket science). And if you ask waiters for help they just advice you to apply to someone else because they cannot help you. That’s no good!

In the bar only beverages are available and rather expensive (freddo espresso 3,5€). In comparison to Thalassea beach for example - it costs only 1,40€ (The same quality).

Summary: nice place, not far away from the city, but rather expensive for offered service and I wish the stuff would be more friendly :)
The beach itself, the sea and music - excellent.

I would never get over there to swim, but it's wonderful when the sun dawns for a drink or cocktail with good music and good company!

This beach is just a few minutes walk from our house so we regularly visit in the summer, even if only for an hour or so. It is well-served by both bus and tram from central Athens.
Given that it is very close to Athens it is very good, but it gets incredibly crowded at weekends and the water is then covered in a film of sun-oil. The beaches further down the coast are better and cleaner (roughly in proportion to their distance from Piraeus) but of course take longer to reach from Athens. Beach bar is good, and there are coffee shops just across the busy road that lies behind the beach.

This is a well organised beach with is easily reached by the tram from Syntagma (nearest stop Kalamaki). Toilets, shop, bars, food, water park, sun set, golden sand... pretty good!

On a weekday we paid 21 Euros for three adults, one child and two pensioners. Deckchairs are usually an extra charge but as we went late in the day we were told we could just claim them for free as they became available.

Closes up from around 8 pm.
