We visited Beilstein many times over the years. It never fails to please. Strolling from the road up into the village is like going back in time (except for all the tourists!). The hotels, restaurants, wine shops, cafes, and the old church stand where they...More

This are very nice old castle ruins dating back to the year 1120 . Not too difficult going up , will take you 15 minutes . Very nice viewpoint on the Mosel as well as a nice restaurant sitting in the fresh air .

Burg Mettirnich provides an incredible view of the area, tests whether one has a little claustrophobia, and has a nice little patio to sit and have a beer. Highly recommend a visit

I love coming to this old castle ruin, it is very atmospheric and from the top of the tower (vertigo allowing) it has magnificent views over the Mosel River and surrounding vineyards - wonderful. There is a good cafe/restaurant here too. There is a small...More

We enjoyed the brief hike - didn't even pay to go into the castle. Can bypass the gate to visit the Jewish cemetary and reach the amazing view point. Do it!
