The main Church Maria Himmelfahrt is a late gothic church from the 13th/14th century. The interior was changes in the 17th century to a baroque overloaded typical setup which according to my opinion does not really fit. But it is worthwhile visiting .

It's a typical Church of this type but well set out and well proportioned. I liked the painting of the body of Jesus Christ being taken down from the cross, this is on the south side. The statues of the apostles are nicely done, and...More

This parish church was built as a pillar basilica in the 15th century. It has a baroque interior and significant works of art. There is the Madonna by Hans Multcher, a glass painting. Also present are wood carvings.

An outstanding church with serious baroque ornamentation on an earlier frame. Altar and organ, along with various polychrome statues not to be overlooked on a visit to this pleasant town on the Lech.

If you are there, you must visit this beautiful Bavarian church. I would recommend you read about the art in it so you can find the pieces and admire the investment in preservation.
