One of the few German cemeteries in Belgium. Certainly worth a visit for ww1 tourists. Free visit of the cemetery. Remembrance of 100 years world war one.

This site is a bit hidden between Menen and Weveglem. More then 45000 German soldiers are burried here. The site shows again the madness of war and the useless losses and sacrifices that have been made!

A sobering reminder that mans in humanity to man extends in time of warfare to both sides. The consequences of which are respectfully remembered in this peaceful setting

this is a huge graveyard of german soldiers who died in first world war. very "sober" and very "simple" but unlke british military cemetaries who look more like tourist destinations, this is a real military cemetery. one feels very humble visiting this
