This site is tranquil and clean, but is a reminder of how crazy wars are. Thousands are laid to rest on this site ... all wasted lives of family members who never came home. This is a German cemetery but there are many in the...More

One of the few German cemeteries in Belgium. Certainly worth a visit for ww1 tourists. Free visit of the cemetery. Remembrance of 100 years world war one.

This site is a bit hidden between Menen and Weveglem. More then 45000 German soldiers are burried here. The site shows again the madness of war and the useless losses and sacrifices that have been made!

A sobering reminder that mans in humanity to man extends in time of warfare to both sides. The consequences of which are respectfully remembered in this peaceful setting
