We greatly enjoyed a rainy afternoon in the Alps from the warmth of the saunas, baths, and steamrooms of Alpentherme Gastein. Sitting outdoors in a warm bath while watching waterfalls pour down the mountainside is a lovely memory of our trip to the area. The swimming areas (requiring a quick change into swimgear) were less interesting for us but seemed... More

After a long hike in the mountains this is a great place to relax. Several massages to choose from. There are different saunas an pools to choose from and a seperat area for families. Water is a the perfect temperature.

The entrance is included in the Salzburgerland card. Very good water park. Has a "quiet" area for the older folks and a big separate family zone to be noisy. The family zone has a warm pool with currents and in the middle has a big dome in which they screen short movies (cartoons, mr. Bean etc.) while you are in... More

Spent an afternoon here. Stayed mainly in the general spa pool (inside and outside). Heated to 33C. Outside is lovely - warm water and cool breeze on your face - with gorgeous views of the mountains, the passing distant train and the 2-car fernicular going up and down the mountain. Inside was lovely and warm with lots of bubbles! We... More

Very nice for both kids and sauna lovers. Not much of a difference from other water parks in the area though. The kids movies in the pool are a very nice addition.

We enjoyed a very relaxing morning here. It wasn't that busy yet. Great place with good facilities for our 7 month old baby. We enjoyed the family area with excellent children area and the outside pool. The sauna area is very relaxing and offers some great sauna's. The restaurant is separate and you need to wear a T-shirt or bathrobe.... More

Extensive facilities well managed. Rather too busy in August but that's not their fault! Lovely warm swimming pools inside and out (one isn't thermal which shocks the system!) Caution in the saunas if you want to avoid large naked Austrian men. Food available all day at reasonable cost but many people at buffet without shirts on which is a bit... More

A quite ok and basic spa but very overpriced. The family area was nice but nothing special. The two waterslides were disappointing. Luckily the place wasn't crowded when we visited, so at least we had a peaceful and relaxing time.

The thermal spa is subdivided into three areas: general, sauna, and children, The general area faces south and offers a magnificent view of the valley and the surrounding mountains. You can swim outdoor and use a sports swimming pool and lawn. The sauna area is actually a spacious spa where you can enjoy swimming and relaxing in the nude. Wellness... More
