A wonderfully constructed palace for the erstwhile king of Burma to be held captive by the Britishers. The elevation and facade are excellent. The museum inside gives you a lot of information

Though its a well know place in Ratnagiri, the place itself doesn't do justice to the reputation. The renovation activities are going on for quite some time hence the entire palace is not open to tourists. Just a couple of rooms having some medival structures...More

Thibaw Palace is one of the main attraction in Ratnagiri. It is a place where King Thibaw was kept in arrest by British. The palace was under renovation where we visited. The palace has a museum as well. Not too many things in the museum....More

Palace is currently going under renovation. So major portion of palace is blocked. But I can say it's nice architecture. Must watch. Entry fees 3/- rupees per person. It's approx 3 kilometres away from Ratnagiri ST Stand. Auto rickshaw will charge you 50/- rupees.

Garden outside palace is completely destroyed and one museum inside palace which again spoils the beauty of palace as it has unrelated things to this palace.
