Take the Black Diamond ferry across to Diamond Harbour and walk up to the village for a coff, icecream ,drink or a meal. A delightful day away from the city but so close.

We took the ferry from Diamond Harbour to Lyttelton Harbour for dinner. The whole port was filled with huge logs. It is not a pretty harbour and you have to climb up the hill to the main street which is where the restaurants are.

Bike over the hill or enjoy the drive. Many top rated Cafes, quirky shops and people. Beautiful views, always enjoyable visiting this quaint wee town, market days are great too!

If you're visiting Christchurch then pop over and have a look at Lyttelton harbour. It's disappointing there's not many places to go fishing which is a real shame.
