The weather wasn't the best, so we didn't venture far. But what we did manage to see was spectacularly unique.

Stayed at Girraween Environmental Lodges for the weekend. Great accommodation very clean and spacious. It was cold when we stayed so the fire was glowing upon our arrival. The area is great to hike around, lots of well marked tracks to follow and I imagine...More

I went to Girraween and climbed Mt Norman. It was exhausting but worth it. The views were beautiful and relentless. I’d not suggest it for anyone who does not want to climb 12 km.

Pack a picnic or BBQ and spend sometime wandering around these easy paths. Wildlife around the path. Lots of picnic tables & clean toilets.

Great easy gradient walking tracks. At 10.30 a.m., the pools of water in the granite rock were frozen black sheets of ice. I climbed to the top of the Pyramid Rock. What a wonderful climb and what a superb view.

There are a lot of great views, granite formations and neat rockpools. There are short and easy walks and longer, more challenging walks, all with their own sightseeing attractions. The only thing I would say is that the paths are -very- vaguely signed, it can...More

We have undertaken several walks in the park and loved them all. Castle Rock walk was brilliant with amazing 360 degree views . I love the huge boulders that form part of the landscape.

Visited the National Park around lunchtime in a Tuesday and nearly had it to ourselves! Lots of options for walks in terms of difficulty and length, with access to north and south areas of the hike. We did Castle Rock return in about 1.5hrs with...More

There are easy walks and hard walks here. If you have some children you can do just an hours walk or so to granite arch. If you are up for a challenge do the pyramids, but be warned it is quite steep and exposed in...More

The hot water in the showers are set on a 3 minute timer then cut out. There is no hot water in the wash up area, just cold. Hope this helps.
