Praia de Canoa Quebrada is absolutely beautiful!
Chill vibes, friendly people, fresh seafood, beautiful beach and landscapes.
If you are looking for the most beautiful, relaxing area of Praia de Canoa Quebrada we highly recommend walking south along the beach until you see flowering vines growing along the sandy cliffs.
This area is much more spacious than the main area and even more beautiful with colorful fishing boats docked on the shores, vines growing with purple flowers, small huts and friendly faces line the shore.
A highly recommended weekend getaway with that special someone or the family.

We were here with a local driver and he brought us to a very expensive spot close to the official beach but not the actual one.
Only after we complained he brought us to the official Canao Quebrada beach.
So be careful or preferably book an official tour.
The beach was very nice then and the skyline is beautiful.
It’s very touristic but still nice to be there.
A foto with the logo in the rock is a must 😉

We had heard great things from our friends about this beach. Most of the people we know had been there several years ago, and, while it´s still a nice spot in Ceará´s coast, I believe it isn´t what it used to be a few years ago. First, let me tell you that this beach is FAR from Fortaleza. It´s a two-hour drive from the city, so you might consider the possibility of staying overnight. The village is nice, although a bit shabby in some parts. There are cozy little bed-and-breakfasts and hotels in an area called "Broadway", so you will have plenty of accomodation to choose from.
The sand cliffs are impressive, but their sight is now almost completely covered by the back-to-back two-story restaurants that line this beach. As far as I know, there used to be no more than two or three of them. Nowadays, there are about 10! The good part is that now you have plenty of options for a nice seafood meal, but the bad side is that several kinds of music, playing to the loudest volume, compete with each other and can be heard everywhere.
The winds, water, and mild surf continue to be the same, though, as well as the beautiful green color of the sea. It´s a VERY wide beach, so it never gets crowded, no matter how many people visit. There are entertainment options such as paragliding, sailing, donkey-riding (yes, that´s right, I said donkey). It´s still a very nice spot, but has lost some of its charm due to overexploitation for commercial purposes.

This place was probably a very nice place before it was TOTALLY overrun by the ubiquitous "barracas", cheap looking beach-bar type establishments. The buggy ride is a joke, the food not that great. To see the red rocks without human additions is nearly impossible. don't get me wrong , the beach is still nice, but you have to look to the sea only. Look sideways or behind you and it's not nice

I have heard outstanding things about Canoa Quebrad which is roughly 90 minutes from Fortaleza Airport. Beautiful beaches, friendly people, good music, good food. My source is a professional travel guide from Britain. Her name is Helen Inman. She was lead guide for a trip my wife and I took across Spain and Portugal and did an outstanding job. Look her up. She owns a house 8 minutes from the beach in Canoa Quebrada. Bill Kester, SC, USA

Never a dull moment here.Everyone can have fun here. Both locals and tourists, domestic and international put away their barriers and just roam in the sun and play on the beach.
There are lots of regional food available.Fish is the preferred meat here.
In addition to the beach area there are many bars and clubs in the village above.
Lots of night life all going down in a laid back atmosphere.

Well if you like beach buggies - this is THE place for you. They are everywhere!! Canoa is a lovely little place with lovely beaches and lovely restaurants. When you are taken to Canoa, say, on a coach trip, you are heavily steered towards particular Barracas that all very, busy, efficient but more expensive than the local rivals. Their trade is guaranteed and after falling into this trap on the first day, we soon wised up and looked at the smaller players. If you speak Portuguese you can negotiate better than if you can't - which is the same all over Brazil. What we did find was that the hawkers concentrated on the barracas with guaranteed customers willing to pay more for the same, so in fact, you found yourself being bombarded with hawkers literally every two-three minutes.
We eventually found a barraca where we could escape from the hawkers (mostly) and this was barraca "Lazy Days" - Yes the English one! But trust me this wasn't serving up English breakfasts and a copy of the Sun - if that's your idea of a holiday - please don't go to Brazil - you'd hate it! Lazy Days was run by Italians (yes - wonder why... hmm) although owned by an Englishman. Some of the Italians working there even spoke Portuguese. Lazy Days wasn't the only "cool" barraca, the "Barraca Freedom" looked equally cool but more in need of a paint job etc. At night there were plenty of restaurants, however none got near the "Costa Brava" in terms of value for money and quality, other restaurants were merely average - although we did hear good reports regarding "Churrascaria El Argentina".
The day trips to canoa usually include the Buggy trips to three beaches - ok so that's an extra 40 rials - but worth it for a couple of hours of getting out in the sun on the back of a buggy. Although the beach buggy safari at Jerricoacara was longer and more entertaining, this was good too.
The Broadway is just the main focal point of Canoa at night and the place really comes to life at weekends when sun seekers head away from the cities in search of a good time. The whole vibe picks up and changes from a sleepy little village to night life looking to rival the big cities.
Canoa's fine beaches and the ability to stay at fine locations (such as the Pousada Presdente Hotel) with ability to sample fine dining makes this an ideal location away from the big city!

Cano quebrada is a greatr place to visit, quiet by daylight and festive by nightlight. Broadway is the street that crosses the middle of the city where everything happens...very beautiful people and great nightclubs and restaurants. Just be careful with the drug addicts that are everywhere.

Canoa Quebrada is a small beach town about 2 hours from Fortaleza. Its beach has a cliff scenario, with paragliders flying around, many bars with local food (lobster, shrimp, pargo fish, etc). It´s possible and recommended to spend at least an entire day there. Many leisure tourism options are presented to the visitors all time. In my opinion, the buggy thing is not worth on that beach, you rather rent a quadbike, much more fun! For buggies, Cumbuco beach has a more attractive option.
Restaurants close to the big stair are more expensive. Tour guides will probably leave you at one of them... go for a short walk (5 minutes) and get same quality for half price and better service.
Overall, I loved the city... it´s also perfect for long weekends. Night life, beach, good food... worth the visit!

In the most famous beach of the rising coast (or east coast), located only 170km from Fortaleza city (around 2hrs by car), the famous Canoa Quebrada is the setting for beautiful landscapes to delight the eye of the beholder.
The main attraction of Canoa Quebrada is the long beach with several beach side kiosks (beach huts/beach restaurant called as barracas) serving small snacks, fresh fish, seafood, appetizers, meals and ice cold drinks as well. Big reddish cliffs, big white dunes, nice beach, nature, natural pool formed during low tide, sunset view from dune, panoramic views, friendly people, beach reggae party during the weekends, nice restaurants to choose from, shops are what you´ll see and experience yourself in Canoa!
You can also take several ride and tours such as buggy rides (towards dunes and beaches), paraglading ride, horserback riding, jangada ride and much more. it´s worthy! Don't miss!

O ônibus Paga Alguma Taxa Pra Entrar Na Cidade ?

O passeio de bug vale a pena? É possível ir até a tirolesa a pé?
Tem barracas na praia?
Qual valor do parapente?
Written 4 July 2019
Olá,

Teriam algum contato pra me passar?
