Our daughter and her partner bought us a tour of the vineyard followed by lunch as a present last Christmas but due to the fire we were unable to go until recently. It was definitely worth the wait. Despite it being a cold and windy...More

Beautiful countryside , great views across to the edge of the Peak District , stunning sunset . Slightly muddy short walk with guide around the vineyard - or too long to get cold or bored and really informative. Learnt lots about winemaking and grapes !...More

Beautiful lunch in spectacular surroundings. With one or two tweaks (turn up the heating on a blustery autumn day, provide black pepper grinders, and train your waiting staff). Waitresses were sweet but lacking in people skills and menu knowledge.

We drove across wild moorland under billowing clouds --not a landscape to make you think of vineyards! The site is fairly remote, set up in the hills not far from Holmfirth. We had lunch in the modern restaurant before being given the history and a...More
