We visited these caves at the end of November so there were only 6 people on our tour which made it very personal. Our guide, Brian was brilliant, he told us he'd only been doing the job for 10 months but he's a natural, very funny but also informative. The caves are really cool, in an interesting way as well... We brought two children 3 and 5 to the santaland experience. separately reviewed. The walk up to the hole is quite steep as one would expect. A guide takes you on the tour and the guide who took us around was very well informed, and loud. The story of the witch at the start was a little scary for the... More

Visited Santa when we got to Wookey hole (which was included in entry price) well organised and didn't queue long. Visited with baby and 3 yo. Don't bother with a pushchair if you can help it. We just left ours in shop whole time as can't take it up to cave. Cave good. We all enjoyed it. A few bits... More

I came here today with my husband and young Son for the Xmas winter wonderland. The caves are amazing however the toilets are far and few between (not ideal when you have a toddler) we stopped in the cafe for there Christmas dinner and I was very disappointed for an adult Christmas meal it was £8.50 and for a child's... We visited here in November as a couple with no children. The caves themselves were very beautiful and fascinating and our tour guide was entertaining and knowledgeable about all the caves, but to be honest that's basically all there is for the adults. As it was November it was very quiet and easy to see everything in 2 hours. So... More

This is the 2nd time we visited the Wookey Hole after an amazing visit last Halloween. We was unfortunate this time to miss out Halloween this time round never the less was still something we planned to do. The caves are an amazing site to see showing thousands of years in the making and all by natural creation. The staff... More

Had changed a lot since my last visit here, with a new hotel on site now and with lots more attractions to see. The caves are still as beautiful and fascinating. The clown museum is worth a look as is the circus, where the trainees perform wonderfully. However, it needs a bit of tlc as is looking very run down.... More

We visited and the grotto experience was historical, by far the best santa visit to date and we've done a fair few. The cave tour was a bit hit and miss, only due to the guide who mumbled his entire way through, such poor diction I doubt anyone understood much at all which was a shame. Having been before I... Ok, it wasn't the best day, but it wasn't the worst. The caves were ok, but it went downhill from there.food was bad, tours were not much better, however, the older style arcade machines were good fun. With a visit if you have nothing else to do
