It seems that Franco wanted to have this spot for the ordinary man to have a wander around. There are closed cafes nearby but the area is peaceful and well worth having a look at.

Visiting Toledo was a great positive surprice as there were so mch Interesting to see in a quite small, but with a lot of hills! Among all the sights I can emphasise the old Roman Bridge crossing the river almost surrounding the city!

Apart from the couple having a major domestic as they crossed it! It's a beautiful bridge, obviously restored in places but it sits so well in its surroundings. It's a lovely walk along the river's edge to view the three very different bridges.

The Roman Bridge in Talavera de la Reina is a fabulous example of a Roman bridge which has been recently renovated. It is lovely to walk over it and peer down in to the Tajo, especially at night as the buildings in Talaver are illuminated.

Nothing was going on there on the rainy May afternoon when I walked past. I hope it's different in the summer - lovers walking together, families enjoying the evening air, fireworks, concerts, parties far into the night… Ravaged and battered by floods and time, the...More

The Roman Bridge is quite interesting, especially since it has survived from Roman times to the present time. The bridge has been restored many times since it was built and is a reminder of Roman times in this town.
