If you're in the area this is a great little hidden gem to explore. Landstuhl itself is a gorgeous area.

Burg Nanstein is a very cool ruin, lots of artifacts that one would think would be in a museum. There is a nice little cafe that has a fantastic view. This castle is easily accessible as you can drive to it.

The background story connected with this castle make the visit more influencing. It worth it to spend one hour -ish of your life to travel through time to live Sickingen's time of sovereignty till his fall.

Pretty cool tour i did both audio tour and walking tour. The views from the top are spectacular. If is warm out you can see the little dragons running around on the rocks

Great restaurant with a full menu - local food and beer - made fresh to order with local ingredients. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Scenic views of Landstuhl and Rammstein. Highly recommend coming most nights

Very cool place I had a lot of fun exploring the castle. Restaurant in the front has good food and beer. The view was amazing! English speaking but that should be a given being so close to the air base.

The view from the hill are beautiful looking down into Landstuhl / Ramstein area. The castel/fortress itself is nothing to write home about.
