Lived up to expectations, even though the reviews i read recently have been less than encouraging. Might be because the reef and fish life has recovered from over-diving. One of the few places where both macro and big stuff are in close proximity. Sometimes you...More

I visited Sipadan almost nine years after my first dive holidays there. But Sipadan did not disappoint me after four days of waiting at Mabul with a lot of white tip sharks, barracuda schools, bumpheads and turtles.

Sipadan island is a small island in Malaysia off the island of Borneo with a huge reputation for excellent diving. The number of divers are controlled with permits and it is great this is done to protect this prestige diving site.

Fantastic place for diving: big stuff like sharks, baracudas, jacks around all the time. Visibility could be bad sometimes, but as always - weather is a king

In my 6 nights of stay at Mabul divers resort, I was lucky to get 4 days permit for sipadan. Had an awesome dive trip. Barracuda point is to be dived again and again. All pelagic stuff.

diving on Sipadan is for experienced divers with license, for sure you can't do any fishing, that's why it is National Park!
