Baga has an altogether different vibe which you can't get at any beach. Crowded like always especially Tito's lane and always high on energy. It should be a must visit beach if in GOA and if you are a party animal ;-)

The beach was pleasant but too crowded and little dirty. We went there to see sunset and really loved it. Took some good pictures and was there till evening, met some foreigners and talked to them until late evening. It’s easy to get food and drinks there, but people just dump it whenever they feel like. And the worse part is, you’ll not find a single dustbin there

This beach belongs to the same panchayat as Calungute beach. Hence both the beaches are adjacent to eachother. The waves in this beach are way calmer and makes a good place to bathe. This is crowded beach . One can watch a beautiful sunset on a clear sky. After sun down this place becomes very noisy because of the shacks. A very good place for night parties .

July is the monsoon time when water activities do not take place at this beach. Maybe this is why it just seemed like a regular beach. The restaurants were still open & staff were reaching out to the visitors to dine at their restaurant. There were lot of people but it wasn't as crowded.

Too crowded a beach for my liking.. the beach was littered with broken beer bottles, plastic from water bottles and beer cans and lot of other trash... it's a place buzzing with activity with shacks to sit back and relax... I hope they clean up the place ..wish to see a better version of the beach in my next visit

This is one of the most happening beach of Goa. Through out the year, there are a lot of things to do. Sometimes it is over crowded. Water sports person on the beach sometime are rude and abusing. Will prefer south goa.

I came back from Goa yesterday.
Last week, it rained almost all day. We did not have 1 complete hr when it did not rain. So, if you are visiting next week (and after seeing the weather forecast which is more or less same as compared to previous week)- do keep a nice raincoat and umbrella with you (in Goa, you can get cheap raincoats but those are not good).
Plus, in goa there is a cab strike going on so you may not find cab to travel. There are some govt. approved taxi service which is available via “Goa miles” only and it is difficult to get cab due to high requests. For tour-You can rent a car if you know how to drive. Avoid renting a scooty or bike due to showers.
We couldn’t enjoy full due to rain; other than that, Goa is lush green these days.
Is any shack open in July 1st week in Baga?

Try Indian summer. It’s a permanent beach shack as it’s set further back from the rest. Go to the bottom of CSM Road and follow the signs this will take you to the back of the beach shack. One of the best shacks I’ve been to the food is fantastic and the toilets are amazing.

We were there in April and there was para sailing, jet ski speed boats, banana boat, those were all at Baga beach. Visited other beaches nearby and pretty much the same. You can also snorkel and scuba dive from some.

Since its your honeymoon, would suggest to have good beach resort in North Goa. Taj has a very good property near Agouda Fort. Vagator beach also have couple of plush resorts. Try visting Baga beach for best soothing experience and Calungute for shopping.

Last time I went there was as good as nothing. Also the tourist season has to do with the monsoons/sea condition. So I'll not be personally too keen on that. Otherwise - I like the place all through the year.

Hi... Can anyone suggest cheap n best resort in the beach in North Goa.. Travelling with family and friends

There are many resorts in north goa, but do you really require resorts for stay, as many of time of day you need to outside the resorts to visit and explore the beautiful goa. I suggest to book guest house for stay purpose, that are less expensive than resorts as well as good for family also.
Try Casa Domingos Guset House near Calangute Beach (around 300-400 meters from beach and market). I stayed there and found good. The owner is Pedro (09422447966). Else there are many options to stay there.
