Family owned and operated! Award winning wines –always made in small batches from pure South Okanagan, British Colombia grapes. Rose, white blends Heart of Gold and Radiant Rhapsody, a bold red blend Crimson Rhapsody, pure varieties of white and red wines and a unique style of dessert wine. With a hands-on approach, the owners facilitate every step of the process, from grape to glass.

Castoro de Oro welcomes both children and pets to its fun, cozy atmosphere.

Castoro de Oro Estate Winery’s name and label pays homage to its vineyard’s terroir and the founding of Canada. The 35-year-old (planted in 1980), eight-acre vineyard is located on the Golden Mile and blessed with a unique soil combination and a small lake located at the base of it. This terroir provides an ideal foundation for growing superior grapes and a longer growing season than many other Golden Mile vineyards. Beavers helped to create the small lake during their manipulation of earth and water. And early settlers’ search for gold led to the beavers’ vast contribution to the history of the nation; the then-booming fashion industry’s need for beaver felt and fur ultimately allowed settlers to thrive, formally establish the country, and choose the beaver as Canada’s national animal. Now, deservedly so, the dapper mascot appears on every old-photograph styled label.

Dropped by Castoro de Oro and to my delight Stella had some new releases in the tasting room !!! A taste of their new Radiant Rhapsody, a medium dry white and I was hooked. Slightly sweet, very crisp with a burst of citrus !!! This one is definitely on my list of favourites. Thank you Stella and Bruno !! This... More

I probably normally wouldn't have visited this winery if we were not staying in Bruno's condo. I'm glad we stopped by. The wines were fabulous and it was like our little private wine tasting. The wines were a great value as well. We'll definitely be back the next time we pass through.

Stella and Bruno have a great thing going here. They make you feel very welcome - almost like family. We really enjoyed sitting out back sharing a bottle of wine and just talking it all in. Was really happy when I discovered their wine is now available at the Calgary Coop Liquor store. We will absolutely stop by again next... More

We like our experience at their tasting room. Stella was friendly and knowledgable. The wines themselves didn't really float our boat, but that's a matter of personal taste. The Pinot Noir wasn't bad, but we did buy a bottle of Merlot Vin de Cure' dessert wine which is made from dried out grapes instead of ice wine or fortified wine... More

Thanks for your review. Sorry to hear the wines we had open that day didn't do it for you. We hope you liked the Merlot Vin de Curé at least since you bought it, perhaps once you enjoy it with some cheese, chocolate, dessert or as dessert it will give you more confidence to come in to try some more... Did you know you can buy this wine in many places, not just at the winery here in the Okanagan. It's served at some of the top hotels in other provinces, my memory fails me, as to the names Stella told me where they were featured. To my surprise, I August of 2015, I found some of their fine selections... More

Come to Osoyoos/Oliver twice a year: July for cherries and August for peaches! We always stop at this winery where they have some of the best wines in the Golden Mile Region! what with the soil, temperature, climate, and they have water..a river..or something...that also would help with irrigation, no wonder they have Top Class wines! We have picked up... More

We live in the Okanagan, and when we get company who want to tour wineries, this one is always on the list.. Coming down for the day for a wine tour we started at Castoro de Oro and it ended up being my favourite of the day. Some complain that it was more casual than the other wineries but I really liked how laid back it was and that it was clearly a family-owned and operated winery. They grow a unique type... More

The wine here is pretty good, nothing amazing but certainly not bad, a couple of the wines were chosen to be special wines at the Fairmont hotel in Edmonton which we were reminded of a number of times. The lady here likes to talk, a lot, really to the point of making it a little uncomfortable. The cheesy jokes, winks... More

Since your review, we have had a few groups that have read your comments, and came to our wine shop seeking or expecting to see revealing attire, lewd comments and lascivious winks, however, they were disappointed when none of that was forthcoming and actually told us so! Others have laughed off your review as “ridiculous”! We also understand some people... More
