Named for the solitary majestic old growth pine of their Oliver estate, Le Vieux Pin sits perched amidst the famed vineyards of the Black Sage Bench: Canada's sole pocket desert, located in the South of British Columbia's Okanagan Valley. Since releasing their first vintage in 2005, Le Vieux Pin has captured the essence of traditional French winemaking, along with the bold New World character distinct to the region. Considered by the national wine industry to be a leading Syrah producer, the winery uses low input viticulture and non-interventionist winemaking to make exclusive vintages that carry with them a sense of time and place. These fine wines can be savoured nationwide and internationally, at select culinary hot spots, gastronomical institutions, and fine wine merchants. The pine tree stands alone. We invite you to visit us, our Tasting Room is open the following hours: Nov 1 - March 15: By Appointment only. March 16 - May 15: 7 days a week 11am-5pm. The wines here are lovely, however having to plan for a reservation time when enjoying an otherwise relaxed day of touring was somewhat disappointing. We didn't encounter this at any other winery of the 12 or so that we visited, and actually had to interrupt...More

We happened upon this by accident but was some of the best wine we found in the area. The price point can be a bit higher but we really loved the wine. The tasting was informative. There was a sign about the tasting being by...More

Love their wine, but the tasting room experience is much stiffer and less enjoyable than most other wineries in Oliver. Tastings are relatively expensive, yet our server seemed inexperienced and uninterested in engaging. Not somewhere I'd recommend if you're just looking to pursue their offerings...More

I have visited every summer for the past seven years (since moving to Vancouver) and am always impressed with the year after year consistency of every vintage. Wow! Not cheap but if there are wines you want to splurge on or impress your friends or...More

Wine tourism has invaded the okanagan valley and many slick tasting rooms have cropped up. Quite a few of them seem to be more about selling tastings rather than the wine. Le Vieux Pin was a wonderfully authentic tasting experience that all about the wine,...More

Coming from Oliver, it was a tight turn for our dually into their fairly narrow driveway. It is a very small winery that charges premium prices - over $70 for one of their white wines. Tasting fees are excessive and are consistent with Napa Valley,...More

From the earth to the grape to the bottle every process along the way reflects a passion you can clearly taste. Le Vieux Pin is more than a winery for the folks that work there. Talking to them you realize it's a determined choice to...More

Honestly the dirtiest winery I've ever been in. I couldn't even taste the wines without 20 fruit flies flying around the glass. "oh there's nothing we can do about them" well all the clean wineries seem to figure it out. I honestly couldn't get myself...More
