There is a range of interesting artefacts in this museum, we visited thinking we would be round very quickly, however, the items and reading proved to be very interesting. There is a vast range of information for people of the clan Cameron which we are not, from all over the world. The estate was a training centre for commando's during... More

If it weren't for getting off the main highway, we wouldn't have come across this museum. It's tucked away in the forest. Our visit was nice, and we didn't have time to review all the documentation thoroughly, but the displays were well done. I bought a few souvenirs for my Cameron siblings and for myself.

Visited as we were in the area. We are not of this clan, or any clan for that matter, but if you take that into consideration and were from 'Cameron' clan you would spend quite a while here. Superbly clean and super coffee to make you feel quite at ease.

This is very well hidden in the forest, but it is well worth the trouble getting there, reall interesting particularly if you have got Cameron blood in your veins .

We have visited this museum many times, and love the fascinating displays of artifacts, unique to the Highlands of Scotland, and Lochaber in particular. Clan Cameron were staunch supporters of Bonnie Prince Charlie and fought bravely with other Jacobites in the final battle against the English. This museum covers this history, but has a variety of other interesting displays. For... More

Does not open till 1.30 pm which we never realised. The woman was late opening the museum, she was not at all friendly or welcoming, not much Highland hospitality here.
